I’m loving this autumn weather thats slowly rolling in! The past week has been nuts, in a good way. I’m back on track with editing, decluttered parts of my life, planned a surprise, ate lots, wandered around Sydney like a tourist with my camera and best of all wrapped up the week with a weekend off (next one won’t be till in April!)

Decluttering life
Once in a while, life needs a bit of decluttering to maximise productivity. The kind of decluttering I get the satisfaction from are:
- Tidy desk; it gets messy quickly but I try to end the week with a clean desk atleast so I can feel productive at the start of the new week
- Wardrobe re-organization; realising I have too much clothes (although not that much to others) and still wondering how I can reduce it more! It is so therapeutical filling up a bag of clothes to donate though.
- Social media clean out; I spend way too much time in a day scrolling through and refreshing my instagram. Lately I realised that an occasional clean out will save me time in the long run – that means unfollowing people/brands that no longer interest me. It feels so good seeing the following list drop, my goal is to get under 500….some day. Currently at 572.
Got around this week in my new sandals from Bared
Ironically on the topic of wardrobe reducing, 2 pairs of sandals arrived from Bared in Melbourne – I’m returning one pair though! … and I did order these the week before last. Worth every cent because these are the most comfortable sandals I’ve owned.
A birthday surprise
Keeping a secret with everyone else in the family but 1 person is not easy. This secret was, Mum coming to Sydney to surprise my sister, Courtney for her birthday. In all families there has to be one person that can’t keep a secret. In ours, its Dad who did partially spill it… so we all had to pretend he was joking.
On the eve of Courtney’s birthday, her friends took her out to dinner which was awesome since I didn’t need to disguise my trip to the airport. We waited for Courtney to come home after her night out and before she did, mum hid in the walk in wardrobe. Us sisters just chilled in bed ready to give her an early birthday present – as a form of distraction. Suddenly, mum popped her head out of the wardrobe… I’m sure Courtney got the fright of her life but equally was overjoyed that mum is here *queue happy tears*. Surprise a success! ;D We’ve lived away from our parents for over 8 years now so any visit they make is one to be cherished!
Foodie Highlights of the Week
My tummy has had the time of its life last week since we tried out several new places around Sydney. First of them being Bar H which serves up awesome Japanese inspired dishes, the other favourite being Papi Chulo in Manly. Been wanting to try this place in ages, so finally ticked it off during a spontaneous date night – I’m still full from all that meat!

Office of the week: Beach
I spent 3 days of last week visiting beaches, mainly for work reasons but made it a leisurely thing too. I decided I should make the effort to scout them out for upcoming shoots. I’m not a beach go-er so can’t appreciate Sydney beaches to its fullest but I get why people rave about them – so beautiful especially on a sunny day!

Thanks for the amazing weather to go with my adventures last week Sydney, hope it’ll stick around for a little while longer 🙂
