So why am I in Italy? and only Italy this trip? I’m mainly here to shoot a few weddings with a fellow photographer, Lauren Michelle which is an incredibly exciting opportunity! Second day in Italy, I got to shoot my first wedding here… in Lake Maggiore!
Lake Maggiore is just a short 1 hour-ish drive from Milan Malpensa Airport, not a bad distance for a quick get away upon arrival! We got to Verbania, one of the towns around the lake early in the afternoon but I didn’t get a chance to explore the town until I was done with wedding duties. It was about 8pm when I headed out and still hasn’t gotten dark yet at this point. The waterfront of this town was especially lively that day because there was an European food festival on – not too sure if its a once in a while event or weekly! but it was exciting strolling through seeing sooo many foods that sounded and looked foreign to me. Would’ve loved to try but I was already fed from the wedding. I did have a prosciutto + cheese crepe topped with balsamic dressing there earlier in the afternoon though. Pretty good crepe combo!
The views of the nearby mountains were beautiful to watch throughout the day in different light. Apparently Lake Como is even prettier… and I can’t wait to check it out for myself in a few days time! Lets hope I can handle it! Will share a few snaps from this wedding over on Clarzzique in the coming days/weeks..
