Monday Musings

21 March, 2016

Shot 2 weddings over the weekend, that also means the last back-to-back wedding for the season, DONE! The challenges that come with these double headers… other than keeping the creative juices flowing for 40+hrs with minimal sleep in between…. trying to not confuse your bride/groom’s AND the bridal party’s names (there were 12 bridesmaids + groomsmens all up), safe to say that no awkward moment took place, phew! I admit though I had to think twice before saying names at times.

Saturday wedding, on location!

“SO COLD!”

Is probably my most used words for the past few days. Can not cope with the sudden temperature drop! I feel like I’ve been living through a long winter with a short summer break since we were in the US and Korea not long ago… and its winter here soon. Uggs and hoodies are already out of the wardrobe.

Feeling Nostalgic

We were driving home one night and Alfred started playing his old collection of Chinese music from our highschool days (Jay Chou, Wang Lee Hom… just to name a few). Nostalgic? for sure! this must be how our parents feel when they listen to The Beetles, Bee Gees etc. These old songs are oddly soothing at night, I need to listen to this stuff after a night of loud party music at weddings.

Scottish Highlands and Beyond

After neglecting our Europe travel plans for the last 2 weeks.. I’m finally back on to it! We’ve changed our itineraries so many times! Crossed off a lot of things in hopes to make it achievable yet enjoyable without rushing. Our latest update is, we’ve decided to go further north of the Scottish Highlands, ending at the Isle of Skye. Looks so amazing in photos, no doubt would be mind blowing in person! I’ve been pinning things to do in Scotland on pinterest, and seriously can’t wait for this fairytale of a holiday!Side note: I so want to hug a highland cow!

Any other recommendations of things to see, places to go, foods to eat.. welcomed!

I learned that, summer days in Europe are pretty long, with sunset happening at around 9-10pm. That’ll feel weird, but works in our favour!

Foodie Highlight of the Week

We didn’t eat out at any exciting places last week, but have to mention that my sisters made pizza from scratch (including the base) and boy does it make the house smell amazing! Of course it tasted good too, even if my belly feels like its made out of cheese because sisters went crazy on that stuff!
