Clarissa

and all her wanders

Monday Musings

29 February, 2016

The first thing I noticed this morning looking in the mirror was, I’ve gotten about 10 shades darker. One would think that I’ve spent the weekend soaking up the sun on a beach but in actual fact my team and I had a back-to-back wedding weekend. Which probably explains the sore muscles and joints I woke up with!

Bali Bound!

We’re going to Bali againnn! This time its for work! So excited to be shooting a wedding here this time (just don’t remind me of the humid weather!) The last time we were at Ayana, we watched a couple get their wedding photos taken with the beautiful Bali sunset in the background – I  can’t wait to work with the same backdrop this August!

Wedding Photographer tip

One way to revive your feet during a long wedding day is to change shoes half way through the day or before the reception. It feels as though you’ve swapped sore tired legs for a fresh pair. I’ve been doing this for the last few weddings and its crazy how much of a difference it makes! I’m not surprised if this works for traveling too, going to give this a go on our next trip!

Foodie highlight of the week

I was over the moon when I stumbled across one of my favourite street foods that I tried during our trip to Seoul, in Strathfield, Sydney! Soondae – a Korean style blood sausage that is made of cow/pig intestines and cellophane noodles. Sounds gross but its so good ;D

Other thoughts and happenings from the past week!

  • We finally watched the most hyped about movie lately, Deadpool! Glad to say it lived up to all the hype even if its not your typical Marvel-super-hero movie. All those gruesome, bloody scenes… I’m relieved that they did not turn into nightmares that night.
  • On the same note on movie-going, I simply can’t watch a movie in cinema without a bucket of popcorn in hand, that buttery-salty taste is like a drug! Sad to say that last bucket of popcorn was almost tasteless, how disappointing. Yes I take my popcorn seriously.
  • I had a free home delivery code for a online food ordering system and the code was something along the lines of ‘delivery1’, which I’ve used and has expired. The last 2 times I decided to try ‘delivery2’, and to my surprise it worked! Don’t be surprised if I order take out more often especially when I’m lazy to make lunch..
