The first time I saw Venice Canals was actually in Valentines Day Movie (the area where Ashton Kutcher’s character lives) and loved how beautiful the surroundings were. I had no idea that this place was in Los Angeles until I stumbled across it in research – so had to see it in person!
It was actually a lot bigger than I thought, you could drive through and pass by several canals, which are practically people’s backyards (hence the row boats and kayaks). It would also be such a lovely space to stroll around in as well. Downside is, the water was a bit low when we there so wasn’t at its prettiest, but I still enjoyed looking at the houses! All different kinds, sizes and colours.. people around there definitely have interesting taste!
One of my favourites!
See what I mean by interesting? Flamingo-obsession??
Since it was Christmas, a few of the bridges were dressed up to suit, so pretty!
Mr A did not want to… :\
Wouldn’t go near him and his gopro stick..
Just a few short minutes drive from the canals is the famous Venice Beach of L.A! It was a little quieter than expected – maybe because it was a week day and during winter… but thats a good thing we didn’t get buried in crowds.
