I’ve known Clarissa (yes name twinnies!) since Year 6 and can clearly remember the day when she and Audwin showed up at a friend’s party, just shortly after officially becoming gf+bf (lots of teasing followed of course!). So much to admire about these two for being able to survive years of long distance as well as the little hurdles that come with being in a relationship. They eventually said good bye to their long distance relationship days and celebrated with the best farewell-party-ever, a wedding… in Bali!
Our Bali trip was not just a holiday, the main purpose was to celebrate the marriage of our long time friends, Clarissa & Audwin. Its been 4 months since the big day and looking back at the photos it brings back memories of what a beautiful celebration it was. Being a wedding photographer, its hard to resist taking photos especially with all the pretty details on the day. I made sure I wasn’t in the way of the official photo+video team though and kept it low key with my little travel camera too 😎 #respect
They had their welcome dinner at Bebek Bengil’s Nusa Dua branch the night before the wedding – was great to see some familiar faces after spending the last few days to ourselves!
The celebrations officially began the following day beginning with a church ceremony at FX church in Kuta. The ceremony was mostly in Indonesian, so barely understood what was being said but knew when the best moments were happening e.g. vows, rings, and thanking the parents :’)
We arrived at the reception venue and finally got to see Clarissa’s vision of her wedding day come to life. The venue was jaw-dropping-ly beautiful accompanied with the prettiest of wedding details, the kind that you would add to your pinterest board; rustic themed with wooden elements, some greenery, white florals and gold details. When the sun went down it was a whole different atmosphere as the candles were lit and fairy lights came on. There were lanterns, fireworks, balloons… the lot! What I loved most from the night was the heartfelt speeches and the surprise performance by Audwin who wrote a song to his new wife 🙂
Above photo taken by me from their Sydney engagement shoot 🙂
This was our first time attending an overseas wedding as guests, and loved that they made the whole process so easy from looking after the accommodation, transport and food for the wedding weekend! It was a great experience and we couldn’t be happier about being able to witness such a momentous occasion!
aaaand… that wraps up our Bali trip and blogposts!
Thanks for following our journey ;)… until the next one!
